Job Description

We are seeking a Portfolio Manager position based in our Poznań location to join the Portfolio Management & Analysis team for 18 months (fixed-term contract).

Ready to help build a better future for generations to come?

In an ever-changing world, we owe it to ourselves and our future generations to live life responsibly. At ROCKWOOL, we work with dedication to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions.

Join us and make a meaningful difference!

Your future team:

You will join the Portfolio Management & Analysis team responsible for overseeing and optimising a diverse portfolio of strategic projects across production, sourcing, logistics, digital solutions and operational excellence. The team ensures that all initiatives - from factory construction and new melting technologies to sourcing and IT systems rollouts - are prioritised and executed in line with Group strategy. You will work closely with Project Managers, Key Account Managers, functional leaders and OPCOs, becoming a key link between strategic planning and operational delivery.

What you will be doing:

Portfolio Strategy & Execution

  • Maintaining an up‑to‑date overview of the assigned portfolio area (status, milestones, risks, interdependencies)
  • Ensuring that projects are aligned with Group Operations and Technology and Group priorities within the agreed portfolio framework
  • Preparing portfolio overviews and input for portfolio meetings, PMM and steering forums
  • Ensuring project information (scope, timing, benefits, capacity needs) is complete and updated in RockHub/portfolio tools

Demand Intake & Prioritisation

  • Operating the intake process for new initiatives in the assigned area, ensuring proposals follow standard templates and criteria
  • Applying agreed ranking/prioritisation criteria and prepare recommendations (start/stop/continue/postpone) with clear rationale
  • Aligning prioritisation proposals with KAMs and functional managers

Benefits Realisation & Value Tracking

  • Ensuring projects in scope have defined financial and non‑financial benefits and named benefit owners before approval
  • Tracking benefit realisation together with PMs, KAMs and Finance, updating registers and forecasts as needed
  • Flagging significant variances between forecast and realised benefits and supporting corrective actions

Constraint Management

  • Monitoring resource needs and constraints for the assigned portfolio (across GOT, DIGI and OPCO functions where relevant)
  • Identifying bottlenecks, overbooking risks and conflicts across projects
  • Proposing adjustments to timing, scope or sequencing to keep plans realistic and support balanced utilisation

Business Analysis & Advisory

  • Consolidating data (costs, capacity, KPIs) to support portfolio decisions in the assigned area
  • Preparing clear, decision‑oriented analyses and visuals for portfolio and steering meetings
  • Contributing to business case development by structuring assumptions and quantifying benefits in line with standard methodology

What you bring:

  • Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level, both spoken and written - as an international company, we use English in our daily communication
  • Experience in project portfolio management, project governance, PMO or a similar analytical/strategic role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to consolidate data, interpret KPIs and derive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills - you feel comfortable giving feedback, challenging assumptions and facilitating decisions
  • Business acumen - ability to assess feasibility, value and impact of proposed initiatives
  • A structured and proactive approach to work, especially in a cyclical, deadline‑driven environment
  • Familiarity with portfolio management tools (Planisware or similar systems) will be a strong advantage

What we offer:

By joining our team, you become a part of the people-centric work environment of a Danish company. We offer you a competitive salary, permanent contract after the probation period, development package, team building events, activity-based office in Poznan's city center in the new prestigious office building - Nowy Rynek.
