The POS Retail IT Administrator is responsible for the set-up, administration, maintenance, support and troubleshooting of Point-of-Sale and related technologies of our retail stores. This individual will also partner with vendors and other departments to deploy and support all computer technical aspects of retail stores, focusing on POS systems. Additionally, the POS Retail IT Administrator will support retail store staff with Level I and II technical issues and requests.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the deployment, setup and configuration of retail store IT components such as POS registers, networking equipment, barcode scanners, receipt printers, credit card payment terminals and back-office systems.
- Serve as a primary technical contact for POS registers in all TravisMathew retail stores, technical issue resolution and IT technical support ticket management
- Assist in documenting procedures and follow established processes for supporting and deploying retail stores
- Install, maintain, and evaluate Retail store IT network, wireless and telephony devices
- Install, maintain, and administer Retail store IT infrastructure
- Provide configuration management support in accordance with compliance, policies, and procedures
- Comply with and support IT information security department requirements and directives
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for technical support escalations, as required.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Working knowledge of POS technologies
- Knowledge of SAP GK POS software and credit card payment systems is desirable
- Knowledge of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry and Data Security Standards) is desirable
- Technically proficient with POS, receipt printers, credit card payment terminals, cash drawers and barcode scanners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Windows operating system
- Basic knowledge of general IT networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, network troubleshooting tools
- Ability to make decisions independently and escalate when applicable
- Ability to establish and foster effective cross functional relationships
- Strong organization and prioritization skills along with attention to detail and exceptional customer service
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology preferred
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in an Informational Technology role, preferably involving in Point-of-Sale/Retail environments
