The Trinh Laboratory in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. We seek highly motivated, creative, and independent scientists to join an interdisciplinary research program at the interface of fungal biology, functional genomics, synthetic biology, and systems biology. Experience with Candida species is preferred but not required. Our laboratory pursues mechanistic studies and engineering approaches to fungal systems for applications in human health, sustainable biomanufacturing, and bioremediation. By integrating molecular biology, CRISPR technologies, functional genomics, systems and synthetic biology, and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), we seek to uncover fundamental biological principles and translate them into biotechnological and therapeutic solutions.

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has shaped leaders, changemakers, and innovative thinkers since its founding in 1794.
