GENERAL SUMMARY:
Participates in a structured Post-graduate Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program designed to support transition to independent neonatal practice. The fellowship includes supervised clinical care in the NICU and delivery room, formal didactics, procedural training, scholarly and quality improvement activities, and professional development aligned with program curricula and institutional guidelines. 60-80 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provides supervised, team-based neonatal care in the Neonatal ICU and delivery room.
- Participates in fellowship-specific clinical rotations, procedural training, simulation, and didactic education.
- Demonstrates progressive competency in neonatal assessment, diagnosis, and management.
- Participates in quality improvement, scholarly activity, and case presentations as required by the fellowship program.
- Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients' families and the interprofessional care team.
- Practices evidence-based neonatal medicine with ongoing self-evaluation and feedback.
- Adheres to ethical principles and demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect.
- Complies with institutional, regulatory, and Neonatal Fellowship Program requirements.
- Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Completes all competencies, evaluations and mandatory education within a timely manner
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Training:
- Neonatal Master's Degree in Nursing OR in Physician Assistant studies
Work Experience:
- Previous NICU experience or clinical rotations.
Certification, Licensure, Registration:
- State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required
- AHA/ARC BLS certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitate Program (NRP) is preferred.
