Job Description

Smart Trades is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Powder Coating Technician to join our team in North Salt Lake. If you have experience preparing, coating, and finishing metal parts, we'd love to hear from you! Give us a call at 801-613-9628 to schedule your interview.

Location: North Salt Lake, UTPay: $17.00–$21.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM–3:30 PMJob Type: Full-Time | 4-Day Workweek

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting components.

  • Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray equipment.

  • Inspect finished products for coverage, consistency, and defects.

  • Operate and maintain powder coating equipment according to established procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on powder coating experience required.

  • Experience with industrial painting, metal finishing, or manufacturing processes is beneficial.

  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

  • Ability to perform job-related physical tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
