Power & Hvac Mechanic

We are recruiting a Power & HVAC Mechanic in Birmingham, AL to join one of the largest equipment rental providers in the world. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, chillers and dehumidification/air purification equipment and mobile generators in a safe, professional manner.

The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on work, and is motivated to grow into higher-level technician roles while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC systems, air quality equipment, chillers, mobile generators and other diesel engines if needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on rental and customer equipment
• Travel occasionally to customer sites to support equipment service needs
• Demonstrate equipment operation and functionality to customers
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery as needed

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience maintaining commercial HVAC and/or generator equipment
• Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and pneumatic systems
• Basic ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams
• Own tools relevant to the position
• Willingness to work in a safety-sensitive environment
