As a Power Electronics Intern at OmniOn Power, you will work with the R&D Engineering team supporting them on the product development and evaluation of technologies for AC/DC and DC/DC converters-based power supplies. This is an onsite role based in Plano, Texas.

This position reports to:

R&D Engineering Manager based in Plano, Texas

The internship is estimated to begin towards the middle to end of May 2026 through mid-August 2026.

ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS: OmniOn Power will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Your responsibilities:

  • Participate in product and technology development projects
  • Support prototypes development
  • Conduct laboratory tests following all required safety protocols
  • Model, design and test power converters
  • Present the technical results

Qualification/ requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a B.S, M.S or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, in the US

· Power Electronics background:

  • Coursework/ projects in power electronics
  • Familiarity with AC/DC and DC/DC topologies, required
  • Power converter hardware design, SiC or GaN experience, preferred
  • Magnetics design, preferred
  • Power converter control, preferred
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in teams
  • Effective communication skills
