Power Marketing Coordinator II- Cooperative Energy, Hattiesburg, MSAt Cooperative Energy, we're more than Mississippi's only not-for-profit wholesale electric power provider - we're a team committed to lighting the way for 456,000 homes and businesses across our state. Together with our 11 local Member cooperatives, we generate and transmit reliable, affordable electricity to the communities we proudly call home.Cooperative Energy is looking for a Power Marketing Coordinator II to support the implementation of our day-ahead energy strategy across the MISO and bilateral markets. This role plays an important part in optimizing Cooperative Energy's power portfolio, coordinating with internal teams, analyzing market opportunities, and ensuring energy transactions are accurately managed and reported.If you enjoy energy markets, data analysis, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how we manage and market energy.What You'll Do:Submit next-day unit offers to MISO and bilateral markets.Optimize Cooperative Energy's power portfolio and market positions.Analyze market conditions, energy transactions, and Power Purchase Agreements to identify opportunities.Coordinate with Generation, System Operations, Fuel, and Settlements teams.Maintain relationships with external energy traders and market partners.Track and verify energy purchases, sales, and interchange transactions.Prepare marketing reports and maintain market data and intelligence.Maintain analytical tools and models using Excel, VBA, SQL, and Python.Support required regulatory and market reporting.Qualifications:Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree Engineering General (ABET Accredited Institution) OrBachelor's Degree Computer Science OrBachelor's Degree Finance OrBachelor's Degree Accounting OrBachelor's Degree Economics OrBachelor's Degree Business Administration OrBachelor's Degree Mathematics OrBachelor's Degree Physics
