Job Description
What You’ll Be DoingYou will complete the Wheels of Change and field training to become a certified FCT and FCT-R Practitioner. The FCT-R Practitioner will provide in-home mental health and/or substance use treatment with the intent to keep families together, based on the Family Centered Treatment Model. You will support clients and families on their mental health and/or recovery journey by collaborating with a team of practitioners and Peer Recovery Specialists to promote recovery, stability, and the ability to maintain the family within the home. Hybrid Role, 20% Remote Work. Your Main PrioritiesWhile additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily: Work with clients and their family members and caregivers to identify opportunities and goals, assess functioning, develop a treatment plan, and assist in achieving desired outcomes. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, family members and caregivers, and identify referring or collateral professionals and agencies. Collaborate with collateral contacts as needed. Provide two 2-hour treatment sessions per week with each client/family assigned. Flexible in providing services according to the client’s needs. Maintains client records accurately, completes documentation requirements timely. Who You AreRequirements, Skills & Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in social work of related field required; Master of Social Work degree preferred. Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role required; experience with trauma-informed and substance use treatment a plus. On call as needed. State wide travel is required. Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time-management skills.Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Collaboration and teamwork. Must authorize Child & Family to complete a motor vehicle records check. Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance and car registration. The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position. Physical RequirementsDirect Service Staff:This position requires time sitting, standing, walking, driving, carrying and lifting up to 25lbs. This role also requires operating desktop, laptop and/or cell phone, and communicating with colleagues.
