Summary of Primary Functions: Provides technical leadership and support during preconstruction activities, including estimating, design review, coordination with project teams, and technical support to ensure successful project execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads estimating and bid preparation efforts by developing accurate cost estimates that incorporate materials, labor, production, and logistical considerations.
Reviews client drawings, specifications, and project requirements to assess constructability and recommend optimized technical solutions.
Serves as the primary technical liaison for clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders during the preconstruction phase.
Collaborates with sales, engineering, project management, production, and logistics teams to support efficient project planning and coordination.
Identifies potential technical, cost, or scheduling risks early in the preconstruction process and proposes mitigation strategies.
Provides technical input for proposals, bids, and contract documentation.
Supports the transition of project information from preconstruction to construction teams following contract award.
Ensures compliance with company safety, quality, and technical standards throughout preconstruction activities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration: PE license preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil or industrial engineering or other related field, with 3(+) years of industry or prior precast experience.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of prior or related experience; preferably with precast/BDS sales, engineering, project management, or operations.
