Job Description
Talis Group’s company client is a growing personal injury law firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Case Paralegal to join their team. This position plays a critical role in guiding clients through the early stages of their injury claims, from intake through settlement negotiations, prior to filing suit. The ideal candidate is compassionate, highly organized, and comfortable managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time position, on site, with paid time off, 401k and free parking.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and ensure a positive client experience.
- Request, review, and organize medical records, bills, insurance information, and other case documentation.
- Verify insurance coverage, liens, and subrogation interests.
- Prepare demand packages, settlement brochures, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other third parties.
- Track treatment progress and monitor case status to move matters toward timely resolution.
- Negotiate property damage and, when appropriate, bodily injury settlements under attorney supervision.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation within the firm’s case management system.
- Assist attorneys with case evaluation and strategy development.
Highlighted Qualifications:
- Prior experience in personal injury pre-litigation, case management, or legal support strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical records, billing, and insurance claims processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with case management software (such as Clio, Needles, Filevine, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.
