Preschool Sports Instructor (Ages 3-5)

$20-$30/hr | Part-Time | Flexible Schedule

Teaching sports to a 3-year-old is its own skill. We run preschool sports programs for kids ages 3-5 at schools and rec centers across Fairfax County, Loudoun, Arlington, and Herndon. We need an instructor who is patient, playful, and can turn basic movement into the best part of a toddler week.

This is not a typical coaching job. It is part coach, part entertainer, part wrangler - and it is incredibly rewarding.

What you will do:

• Lead preschool sports classes introducing kids ages 3-5 to movement and basic sport skills
• Rotate through age-appropriate activities - kicking, throwing, running, balancing, catching
• Keep energy high and chaos controlled (this is a skill - we value it)
• Manage your class independently - setup, instruction, dismissal
• Ensure every child is safely released to a parent or guardian

What we are looking for:

• Experience working with toddlers and preschool-age kids (daycare, preschool, camps, rec - all counts)
• Warm, high-energy personality - these kids need fun, not drills
• Patience in abundance
• Comfortable with unpredictability (it is 3-year-olds - expect the unexpected)
• Reliable, punctual, professional
• Must pass background check + fingerprinting
• Reliable transportation to assigned sites

Pay and Schedule:

• $20-$25/hr to start based on experience
• Up to $30/hr for returning, experienced instructors
• 1-4 days/week depending on your availability
• Weekday mornings, afternoons, and/or weekends
