Description

Are you ready for the best Summer ever? We're looking for energetic, passionate, and engaging Floating Teachers to join our celebrated Summer Camp program. Spend your Summer providing a fun, safe and exciting learning environment for children ages 1-5, while enjoying full-time hours and pay without working nights or weekends! Teachers follow provided lesson plans to implement fascinating arts + crafts, enriching outdoor play, special Friday activities, and visits to our beautiful outdoor pool with a Splash Pad for our littlest swimmers.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • May 28-July 31
  • Choice of 7:30am-4:00pm or 9:00am- 5:30pm shift (dependent upon availability)

What You'll Do

  • Help cover classrooms during staff absences and/or breaks
  • Create a safe and positive classroom environment that promotes learning through open-ended activities
  • Implement the age-appropriate grab and go curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of the children's development
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents through formal and informal communication on a daily and weekly basis
  • Foster and develop relationships with other teaching team members, including co-teachers
  • Gear the program towards the needs of individual children taking into account interests, challenges, talents, and individual learning styles
  • Accompany children to and from the swimming pool several times a week and provide adequate supervision

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with children
  • At least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
