Job Description
The Press Assistant role supports the setup, operation, changeover, and maintenance processes on flexographic printing presses.
- Take direction from Press Operator
- Coordinate duties with Operator to minimize waste and downtime.
- General Cleaning
- Preparing for upcoming jobs.
- Retrieving ink from inventory.
- Staging of ink and plates.
- Retrieving and cutting cores as needed.
- Empty waste bins as needed.
- Follow all applicable instructions relative to GMP's.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Prior experience not required, we will train you!
You'll need to be able to:
- Work effectively in an active team environment.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Differentiate colors.
- Add, subtract, multiply, divide, and read a ruler to 1/32 of an inch.
