Boone Steel is 48 year old metal supply company that performs value added services such as plasma cutting, break press, shear, saw cutting and metal fabrication. We make a priority of customer service, safety, honesty and family values. We are looking to add to our Metal Processing Department that handles the Press Break and Plasma Table.
Full job description:
Experienced CNC Press Brake Operator.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate CNC Accupres Press Brake and Shear to manufacture parts to required specifications,
- Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
- Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
- Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available.
- Measures and aligns materials to be used.
- Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Performs routine maintenance on the press brake.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experienced CNC Plasma Table Operator.Responsibilities include:
- Proven experience as a CNC plasma table operator or similar role in a metal fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and machine controls.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment as required.
- Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to operate, load and unload machines.
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Preferably have at least 3 years experience in a machine shop environment at a minimum.
