• Lead and oversee press cell operations, ensuring efficient production, quality, and safety standards are met
• Operate and optimize press functions to maximize production rates, yields, and overall performance
• Set up and manage extrusion processes, including creating and maintaining extrusion process sheets (EPS)
• Monitor production systems (e.g., BizWare) and use calculations to adjust billet length and optimize output
• Coordinate and adjust press schedules based on production needs and priorities
• Inspect materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, tolerances, and surface quality
• Set up, operate, and maintain equipment including saws, die heaters, stretchers, and cranes
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure proper installation and care of tooling (e.g., saw blades, dies)
• Support and train team members while cross-training across all extrusion and press cell functions
• Maintain a clean, organized work area using 6S standards and follow all safety procedures

What You Need to Bring Press Cell Lead:

• Prior leadership or lead-level experience required
• Strong experience with extrusion press operations and related manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret production data to verify rates, yields, and performance metrics
• Mechanical aptitude, including ability to weld and perform equipment setup and adjustments
• Ability to operate and safely use various equipment including cranes, saws, and stretchers
• Strong understanding of quality standards, material identification, and inspection processes
• Ability to schedule, prioritize, and adapt production operations as needed
• Familiarity with production systems and tools (e.g., BizWare, log calculations, process sheets)
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Ability to work cross-functionally and train others in press cell operations
