Job Description
Engineered Materials Solutions based in Attleboro, MA is seeking skilled Press Operators to join our team within the manufacturing sector.
Position Summary:
Set up and operate one or more automatic presses, compacting presses or four slides to punch, notch, pierce, slot, blank and form a variety of products. Follow instructions for methods of operating presses. Check work with micrometer and other measuring instruments and fixed gauges to check dimension to tolerances.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate one or more presses, spot welders and tapping machines.
- May perform bench operations using hand-held equipment
- May use punch press, degreaser, welders, pneumatic and/or foot presses, optical comparator scales, micrometers, fixed gauges, templates, torque wrenches, verniers, calipers, thread comparator, plug and ring gauges
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled
- Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area
- Wear all required PPE at all times
- Perform other related duties as required
Education and Experience:
- High School or Equivalency Diploma
- Basic Shop Math
- Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
- Ability to use hand held measurement instruments
- Related Press Experience preferred but not necessary
