The Senior Pricing Operations Specialist will play a key role within a global team, partnering closely with Client Accounting, E-Billing, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of client billing arrangements and rate management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, values teamwork, and enjoys contributing to a culture where knowledge-sharing, growth, and operational excellence are prioritized.
Responsibilities for Pricing Specialist:
- Liaise with Client Accounting Team globally to obtain information regarding client negotiated billing arrangements
- Communicate client billing arrangements and client billing requirements to assist with client negotiations and financial analysis
- Create rate cards based on client negotiations
- Prepare, maintain, and audit rate sets in accounting system (Aderant)
- Work with E-billing to prepare rate sheets for client submission based on agreed rates
- Provide training and support to Global Client Accounting Team with rates application
- Maintain accurate information in the firm’s matter intake system, i.e., client group, currency, addresses, billing coordinator, billing arrangement information, time increments
- Ensure firm compliance with client negotiated billing arrangements and client outside counsel policy by creating guidelines in accounting system, including red flag words, rules and advance premium/discount set ups
Requirements for Pricing Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Library and Information Science, Business Administration, or related fields
- 3+ years of corporate or law firm (preferred) experience in billing, rates, or related role
- Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and Word
- Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
