Job Description
Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Locum Tenens Primary Care Physician in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a full-time, temporary clinic-based assignment starting in late May.
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to provide primary care services in a Medicare HMO clinic setting. The physician will oversee one nurse practitioner and manage a panel of geriatric patients with chronic health conditions. This assignment includes two clinic locations with the majority of time spent at the main site.

Start Date: May 28 - June 2, 2025
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Contract Type: Temporary (Locum)
Patient Volume: Up to 20 patients per day
Local candidates only - travel and lodging not provided
Work Sites:
Primary Location (4 days/week): Las Vegas, NV 89109
Secondary Location (1 day/week): Smoke Ranch, Las Vegas, NV
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to geriatric patients
Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and kidney disease
Supervise and support a nurse practitioner working in the clinic
Document care in the EMR system in a timely and accurate manner
Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure effective patient care delivery
Requirements:
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or Preventive Medicine
Active and unrestricted Nevada medical license
DEA registration and prescribing authority
Experience in geriatric primary care strongly preferred
