Job Description
Job Summary:The Principal, Risk Management will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing risk exposure data, learning about the company’s global insurance program and working with a Risk Management Information System. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in Risk Management & Insurance to apply their knowledge to real-world corporate risk programs, meet with various insurance professionals, and work with the international risk management team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage or support the worldwide property, casualty, marine and cargo insurance programs including all aspects of the annual renewals, policy audits, claims management and recovery, and cost allocations
- Provide key support for other insurance programs, including aviation and cyber risk underwriting submission preparation, international placements, and cost allocations
- Administer the company’s Risk Management Information System (RMIS), by recommending, developing and deploying program enhancements, maintaining and updating data and creating reports
- Coordinate various business unit activities including responding to inquiries, contract reviews/compliance, certificate of insurance requests, and training/webinar efforts
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Education & Training Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration is preferred, risk management/insurance major or coursework and/or relevant continuing education/credentials desirable (e.g., ARM or CPCU) or equivalent years of relevant experience.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of six years of risk-related experience within a large public company risk management function and/or relevant insurance brokerage environment is required.
Other Requirements:
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Ability to travel up to 10 percent.
- Must be willing to work in the CHQ office Monday through Friday during regular business hours and in emergency situations as needed.
