Job Description
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack - from electrons to tokens - to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that - with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved - people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About This Role:
Crusoe is seeking a Principal Product Manager for General Compute to serve as the definitive authority for our foundational compute platform. In this high-leverage role, you will define the strategic direction for Crusoe Cloud's infrastructure, spanning GPU and CPU offerings, bare metal and virtualized environments, and the orchestration layers that power global AI training and inference. You won't just manage a roadmap; you will shape how Crusoe competes in the cloud market, influencing company-level strategy on capital allocation, platform evolution, and sustainable market positioning.
As a Principal leader, you will operate at the intersection of networking, storage, and security to deliver a cohesive infrastructure experience. You will be expected to identify emerging market shifts before they are visible to the broader industry, bringing structure to high-stakes questions surrounding new market entry and architectural transitions. This is a full-time position for a strategic visionary who can deliver step-function impact on Crusoe's revenue potential and competitive differentiation, ensuring our platform remains the backbone of the next generation of AI.
What You'll Be Working On:
Strategic Product Direction: Own the multi-year narrative for Crusoe's general compute platform, guiding massive investment across engineering, infrastructure, and GTM teams.
Cross-Organizational Alignment: Operate across boundaries to integrate compute strategy with networking, storage, and managed services, ensuring a unified platform evolution.
Executive Decision Support: Shape company trajectory by framing complex tradeoffs between infrastructure investment, customer demand, and long-term business outcomes for the executive team.
Market Intelligence & Synthesis: Identify emerging risks and opportunities-such as GPU roadmap shifts or AI framework evolutions-and translate them into actionable infrastructure strategies.
Problem Space Definition: Create clarity in high-ambiguity environments where organizational alignment does not yet exist, establishing the vision for multiple teams to execute against.
Operational Excellence at Scale: Define operating models and sequence major investments while resolving cross-organizational friction to ensure successful delivery.
Ecosystem Anticipation: Analyze second- and third-order effects of compute decisions, such as their impact on network topology, cooling economics, and energy strategy.
Strategic Partnerships: Lead high-level discussions with customers and hardware partners to gather insights that inform the next generation of Crusoe's compute vision.
Mentorship & Leadership: Serve as a role model and mentor to product managers and engineers, developing the next generation of infrastructure product leaders at Crusoe.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Extensive Product Leadership: 10+ years of product management experience with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, High-Performance Computing (HPC), or large-scale compute platforms.
Strategic Impact: A proven track record of delivering step-function business growth through initiatives that materially shifted revenue or competitive positioning.
Multidimensional Problem Solving: Expertise in integrating infrastructure constraints, economic models, and customer demand into a cohesive platform strategy.
Ambiguity Mastery: Demonstrated success in defining new problem spaces and bringing structure to strategic questions without established precedents.
Deep AI Infrastructure Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of GPU platforms, distributed training systems, and evolving AI workload characteristics.
Company-Level Influence: Experience operating across organizational boundaries to influence capital allocation and executive-level decision-making.
Masterful Communication: Ability to translate deep technical complexity into compelling strategic narratives for executives, partners, and customers.
Bonus Points:
Hyperscale Experience: Previous leadership in compute or infrastructure strategy at a major cloud provider or AI infrastructure company.
Infrastructure Economics: Background in data center operations or capital-intensive technology businesses.
Vendor Relations: Direct experience working with major hardware vendors (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) on roadmap alignment and partnership strategy.
Technical Depth: A background in distributed systems, virtualization, or computer architecture.
AI Specialization: Hands-on experience with AI workload optimization, platform development, or M&A in the cloud infrastructure space.
Benefits:
