NXP's Driver & Energy Systems (DES) product line develops Battery Management System (BMS) solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as 48V automotive products. These products support the growing demand for vehicle electrification and must comply with strict performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

DES Product Line fuels NXP's mixed‑signal battery management and 48V portfolio for automotive and industrial applications. In collaboration with our global design teams, we create application‑specific standard products that combine high‑performance analog functions with advanced high‑voltage CMOS technologies, placing particular emphasis on BMS, robust eFuse solutions, and state‑of‑the‑art Gate Driver architectures.

We are looking for a Principal SoC Design Lead to support global product development activities.

Responsibilities:

As SoC Design Lead, you will be in charge of design execution from project kick-off to Tape-out till qualification.

  • You will work closely with design architects to propose an optimal architecture in term of area, power consumption and performance.
  • You will be responsible for the integration of all the IPs.
  • You will ensure that design flow is well understood and followed by the design team. You will also ensure that all deliverables are met for each milestone.
  • You will be involved in specification reviews and guide design implementation.
  • You will be the interface from design team to all other core functional teams and also the design interface for system team/ customers / application team.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in IC development.
  • Strong expertise in analog design or mixed signal IC, including design for ESD & EMC robustness.
  • Proven experience with IC in the following domains: power management, physical layers, signal processing theory and implementation, including data conversion, switched capacitors design.
  • Knowledge in ISO26262 norm or equivalent.
  • Experience in traceability requirements of the V-cycle (DOORS NG tool or equivalent).
  • Experience with cross functional teams and good communication skills to operate in a global environment with multiple partners in Europe and Asia.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • Fluency in English language both oral and written.
  • Program management skills will be also appreciated.
