Printing Press Operator TraineeStart your next career in Grand Island, NE, as a Printing Press Operator Trainee, learning to operate and assist with pressroom equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and safety are essential as you gain valuable on-the-job training in printing operations.Job Duties
- Load newsprint rolls and prepare the press for production*
- Make pasters to ensure continuous paper flow during printing*
- Monitor reel stands and press operation throughout production*
- Set and adjust ink densities to maintain print quality*
- Maintain proper registration for accurate print alignment*
- Fill and maintain ink fountains as needed during press runs*
- Set and adjust folders for proper paper folding*
- Assist with plate making and plate changes*
- Maintain a clean and safe press area*
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support press operations
- Training is to be completed on day shift, hours being 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. *
- After training is completed, hours will vary - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 4:00 pm to midnight*
