Training

Week 1: Classroom Training
Week 2: Shadowing & Hands-On Learning

Schedule

Monday-Friday Approx. 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (varies based on selected lunch schedule)

What You'll Do

Process prior authorizations accurately and efficiently.
Review step therapy requirements, payer policies, and medication preferences.
Manage appeals and denials while following payer guidelines.
Verify insurance benefits and determine in-network and out-of-network coverage.
Evaluate medical and pharmacy benefits to determine treatment eligibility.
Collaborate with providers, patients, clinical teams, and internal stakeholders.
Investigate complex cases and resolve authorization challenges.
Maintain accurate documentation in Salesforce and other systems.
Prioritize workload to ensure timely follow-up and completion of authorizations.

Qualifications

2-3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
Direct experience with prior authorizations and biologic therapies
Medical Assistant certification or formal training required
Experience with Salesforce, WeInfuse, AMD, EMRs, and/or practice management systems
Strong critical thinking, organization, and communication skills
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more specialty areas:

Rheumatology
Gastroenterology
Dermatology
Neurology
Immunology
