Job Description

PDN (Private Duty Nursing) for a patient with a G-tube involves a skilled nurse providing individualized, one-on-one care, typically in the patient's home, to manage the gastrostomy tube (G-tube). Responsibilities include: 
  • Administering tube feedings.
  • Managing and cleaning the G-tube and site.
  • Monitoring for complications like infection.
  • Educating the patient and family on G-tube care and maintenance. 
  • Administer medications as directed by MD and follow care on POC.
