PRN Caregiver- Las Cruces (88001)

Overview

Heritage Home Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Caregiver for a specific client assignment in Las Cruces, New Mexico. (88001)

In this position, you will provide delegated personal care services in a home setting, supporting daily living activities while ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and kitchen safety
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• Follow prescribed healthcare plans, including assisting with exercises and delegated medication support
• Provide mobility assistance (transfers from bed, chair, or wheelchair)
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment with light housekeeping
• Provide structured support for a client who is blind.
• Assist with organization, scheduling appointments, and errands
• Escort or transport client to appointments as needed (reliable transportation required)
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to the clinical team

What We’re Looking For

• Compassionate, organized, and dependable caregiver
• Experience supporting individuals who are blind preferred
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Morning availability preferred
• Must have reliable transportation

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow delegation instructions accurately
• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required
