PRN Pre-Op/Pacu RN Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced PRN Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and skilled in preparing patients for surgery and providing attentive post-anesthesia recovery care. HOURS: AS NEEDED, 7 days per week 0630-1500. You must be available to work at least 2-4 shifts per pay period and participate in the required weekend shift rotation, including a minimum of one Saturday shift and one Sunday shift per month.

Key Duties:

• Perform pre-operative patient assessments, verify consents, and prepare patients for procedures.

• Start IVs and administer medications as ordered, including sedation support.

• Monitor patients in the recovery phase, including vital signs and response to anesthesia.

• Manage post-procedure symptoms such as pain or nausea and provide patient education.

• Document care, coordinate with the clinical team, and ensure patients meet discharge criteria before release.

Education and/or Experience:

• HS diploma or GED, required
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Florida, required
• Current BCLS certification and current ACLS certification required
• Bilingual-Spanish a PLUS
