PositionSummary:

• Performs high-quality ultrasound examsusing proper techniques, equipment settings, and independent judgment to captureaccuratediagnostic images 

• Ensures patient care and safety, including preparation, positioning, communication, and adherence to universal precautions 

• Supports radiologists with image-guided procedures(e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis,hysterosonograms) 

• Manages workflow and documentation, including RIS/PACS, scheduling coordination, patient communication, andaccuraterecordkeeping 

• Maintains quality control and compliance, including equipment QA, ACR standards, and ongoing professional development

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association

• Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (or must be registry-eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position) 

•  Must be registered through ARDMS with AB, OB/GYN and RVT (Practice and State Specific
