What You'll Do

Monitor shop performance and processes daily for operation within established parameters
Investigate and recommend process, procedure, training or equipment needs to continually improve performance
Work with Quality Assurance Department to monitor product quality and identify and correct any deviations
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering on capital projects and commissioning of new equipment
Responsible for process stabilization and improvement in all shop areas
Monitor shop parameters and implement process changes as necessary.

What You'll Need

Expertise in raw materials, electric arc furnace (EAF), ladle furnace, caster and refractory performance.
Project management and equipment commissioning skills.
Experience implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing practices.
Adept at applying statistical methods to monitor and control process variability, ensuring consistent performance.
Adept at implementing and leading continuous improvement processes.

Your Education

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
