Process Improvement & Compliance Accountant

System One is assisting a Tulsa company with the search for a Process Improvement and Compliance Accountant. The successful candidate will be a hands-on accounting professional who brings a great attitude, strong attention to detail, and a “see it / fix it” mindset. This is a high-visibility role supporting process improvement, internal controls, and accounting compliance within a collaborative finance team. This position reports directly to the Director of Accounting.Responsibilities:

• Help design, document, and improve internal controls and accounting processes. Serve as the liaison for audit requests (internal/external) and coordinate timely responses
• Assist the Accounting Manager with review of journal entries and reconciliations reinforcing strong documentation standards
• Identify manual bottlenecks and lead process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy
• Key point of contact with outsourced providers related to Sales & Use Tax, Property Tax and other regulatory reporting requirements
• Ensure work aligns with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. Assist with technical research when needed
• Partner cross-functionally to turn financial data into actionable insights

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• 3–5 years progressive accounting experience (public accounting/audit experience is a plus), CPA active or in-progress preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control concepts
• Advanced Excel and comfortable with computer systems
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude

Salary: $85K - $105K
