Job Summary
This entry-level role supports daily operations within a manufacturing plant environment. The position involves performing a series of tasks under close supervision while following documented work processes and safety guidelines. The operator contributes to overall production performance while ensuring equipment functionality, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to workplace safety and product quality
- Monitor and check equipment throughout the shift to ensure proper operation
- Read, understand, and accurately follow documented work processes and instructions
- Support team and division performance goals
- Respond to internal and external customer needs in a timely and professional manner
- Bag finished products, collect samples, and perform testing
- Manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace
- Switch tank feeds between carbon tanks
- Calibrate pH probes
- Operate filter press systems
- Run and monitor facility wastewater treatment plant
- Sort bottles by size and resin type
- Load and unload deliveries to and from regional branches
- Operate forklifts to move materials throughout the facility
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Evacuate bottles as required
- Shift: 1st (6am-1:30pm) and 2nd (1pm-9:30pm)
Skills Required
- Completion of site-specific safety training (required)
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to sit, stand, see, and hear continuously
- Frequent walking, writing, and typing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs and perform occasional bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to operate a computer and use a telephone
- Completion of 40-hour hazardous waste operations training
Preferred:
- 3–5 years of manufacturing or plant experience
- Forklift operation experience
- Basic computer knowledge
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Pay Rate
- $24.40 - $28.40 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
