Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Process / Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced nonwovens production environment. This role is responsible for managing production personnel, improving manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, driving operational efficiency, and maintaining a strong culture of safety and accountability across the plant floor.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience within manufacturing operations and possess the ability to organize workflows, improve production processes, coach and develop employees, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to achieve operational goals while maintaining high standards for safety, productivity, and product consistency.This is a working leadership role that requires active engagement on the manufacturing floor alongside production teams.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, organize, and direct daily manufacturing operations and production activities.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production personnel to support safety, productivity, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives and communicate expectations to the team.
  • Organize production workflow by assigning responsibilities, scheduling personnel, and prioritizing production activities.
  • Support and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Analyze existing production processes and identify opportunities for operational improvements and increased productivity.
  • Train employees on manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and best practices.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment and coordinate maintenance needs with maintenance teams.
  • Maintain and enforce production standards, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
  • Monitor production performance, analyze operational data, and generate reports for management review.
  • Collaborate closely with quality, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Troubleshoot operational and personnel issues while implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate production records, process documentation, and operational reporting.
  • Promote a positive team environment focused on communication, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Support workplace organization and operational excellence initiatives throughout the facility.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience within a production environment.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
  • Experience within nonwovens, textiles, plastics, paper, packaging, or continuous manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience leading manufacturing teams in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, quality systems, and process improvement.
  • Experience implementing production process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and manufacturing compliance standards.
  • Ability to interpret production data and drive performance improvements.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA safety certification preferred.
  • Experience operating or supporting industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Forklift or material handling equipment experience is a plus.
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen preferred.
