Hastings Insurance is seeking a Personal / Farm Lines Processing Technician to join our Underwriting team. Processing Technicians are responsible for accurately processing and entering policy data from source documents into the appropriate systems and applications. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, sharp attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset who thrives in a high-volume, transactional environment supporting our Underwriting division and other key business functions.

Location & Schedule:

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role works primarily from home with a required monthly in-office presence at our Hastings headquarters. Additional in-person meetings may be required based on business needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Accurately enter and process policy information for Personal and Farm product lines using underwriting source documents and internal systems.

  • Meet daily production goals and quality standards to support timely service and positive customer outcomes.

  • Communicate proactively and professionally with Hastings underwriters and agency partners to resolve questions or discrepancies.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including continuing education and skill enhancement.

  • Support additional operational needs as assigned by leadership.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Prior experience as a Bank Teller, Office Coordinator, Customer Service Representative, or in a related role is highly preferred.

  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and other business software applications.

  • Proven customer service orientation with a commitment to accuracy and responsiveness.

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
