Job Description
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Procurement Analyst in Lexington, KY for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Procurement Analyst will support supply chain planning, procurement coordination, material movement, supplier communication, reporting, and issue resolution for assigned program areas. This role requires supply chain experience, intermediate Excel skills, supplier interaction experience, and strong problem-solving ability in a fast-paced procurement environment.
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of supply chain experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience, including VLOOKUPs and data analysis.
- Experience with supplier interaction.
- Experience resolving problem reports, procurement issues, or material constraints.
- Ability to support front-end and back-end procurement activities.
- Ability to manage multiple reports and performance metrics.
- Ability to prepare leadership presentations.
- Strong time management, planning, and multitasking skills.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across multiple program areas with competing priorities.
- Ability to coordinate with production, warehouse, engineering, logistics, receiving, finance, buyers, and suppliers.
- Ability to support purchasing, material planning, scheduling, and inventory movement.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with procurement lifecycle support from cradle to grave.
- Experience supporting purchase order placement, material delivery timelines, expediting, invoicing, and accounts payable issue resolution.
- Experience with program kickoff meetings, schedule reviews, configuration control, product team support, and program assessment meetings.
- Experience resolving frustrated material, grief notes, or procurement blockages.
- Experience supporting supplier/vendor relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary Global Supply Chain planning contact for assigned program areas.
- Support proposal activity, leadership presentations, and team-wide performance metrics.
- Manage Excel-based reports and procurement data.
- Coordinate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
- Track material delivery timelines and support expediting activity.
- Identify urgent or critical procurement issues and communicate status.
- Support purchase order placement, supplier follow-up, and delivery execution.
- Coordinate with buyers and functional teams to resolve procurement, logistics, invoicing, and accounts payable issues.
- Support product team, schedule, configuration control, kickoff, and program assessment meetings.
- Gather and analyze data related to prices, schedules, supplier performance, and procurement constraints.
Pay
- $18.00–$34.20/hour
