Description:

You will be the Procurement Engineer for the Precision Fires team. Our team is responsible for delivering cost‑effective, high‑performance procurement solutions for multiple missile and launcher programs.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Procurement Engineer you will be responsible for shaping the supply strategy that powers our next‑generation missile systems.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop detailed Statements of Requirements for missile and launcher programs.
  • Perform capacity modeling to forecast production capabilities.
  • Manage supplier risk and ensure compliance with performance standards.
  • Evaluate second‑source opportunities domestically and internationally.
  • Drive cost‑effective procurement solutions aligned with program objectives.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Background/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work proactively /self-motivated
  • Excellent teamwork and team leadership skills
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Desired Skills:

  • Experience communicating and coordinating across disciplines (GSC, IPT, etc.,), interfacing with early career and all levels of leadership
  • Professional presentation development and delivery experience
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and working with frequently changing priorities
  • Experience with Defining Statements of Requirements
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certified
  • Statements of Work & Requirements
  • Technical Writing
  • Experience with Process Simulator or other capacity analysis tools
  • Risk Management Experience
  • Manufacturing Experience
  • Supplier improvement experience
  • Second source selection and supplier evaluation
  • Experience with program development activities

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
