Introduction
We are looking for a Product Testing Lead to join our Global Apparel Product Testing Team. This role ensures that our apparel products fit and perform up to the highest standards and enables interconnected, data-informed decision-making across various fields of play, inspiring the future of sport. This role blends expertise in consumer product testing with the expertise of strategic data implementation to drive confident, impactful, and predictive insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a science or apparel-related field
- Minimum 5 years of directly relevant work experience
- Subject matter expertise in consumer product testing methodologies (clothing, equipment, accessories, food, beverage, etc.)
- Previous Sportswear experience a plus but manager knows that may not be an option. A pervious ETW they hired had background in food science and testing and manager felt that worked well. Testing ideologies aligned well
- Competent in qualitative and quantitative test design, data collection, and analysis
- Product testing in Sportswear Apparel testing, Accessories and Equipment.
- Knowledge of psychometrics, sensory-perception, behavioral sciences, or motor learning and control is a plus
- Experience with data management, structuring, and integration across enterprise systems
- Understanding of predictive modeling, AI, or machine learning applications for product testing insights
- Familiarity with Client Office, Airtable, Qualtrics, Tableau, Python, and PLM integration is optional, but valuable
- Passion for, and knowledge of, team and individual sports is a plus
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work with product creation partners to test apparel and accessories, ensuring they meet consumer expectations globally
- Lead or provide guidance on multiple stages of the testing process, including test planning, recruiting testers, executing tests, analyzing data, capturing athlete insights, writing reports, and delivering presentations
- Collaborate with colleagues involved in product creation and development to validate the performance benefits of products
- Gather and disseminate testing feedback to inform key internal stakeholders about performance and durability attributes
- Work closely with testing teammates and management on internal projects while maintaining, developing, and teaching testing techniques and best practices
