Job Description

Introduction

Join our team as a Materials Designer 2, where you will contribute to the design and development of innovative footwear materials for our everyday consumer brand. We are looking for a talented individual who can support our Kids & Core Color & Materials Design team within the Global Jordan division.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Footwear Materials Design.
Experience with Kids (grade school, preschool) and CORE business.
Strong understanding of materials cost margins and driving value at a lower cost.
Must include portfolios showcasing relevant work.
Understanding of the CORE consumer, storytelling, and collaboration in the design process.
Prior work experience in the industry is preferred.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Knowledge of seasonal gates and setting up product/materials numbers.
Experience with leathers - genuine and synthetic, with an ability to identify and understand their differences.
Knowledge of materials duties (import taxes).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative materials for footwear.
Ensure materials meet cost and quality standards.
Participate in storytelling and design process to align with consumer needs.
