Job Description
Job Title: Materials Designer 3 Location: Beaverton, OR (4/1 hybrid schedule) Salary Range: $45-50 per hour
Introduction
We are seeking a talented and experienced Materials Designer 3 to join our team in an on-site role at our World Headquarters. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to exciting projects with a focus on seasonal packs and collaboration with various design teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in a materials design role, with a strong preference for footwear experience (apparel and/or accessories experience may also be considered)
- Expertise in Adobe Illustrator
- Basic understanding of material types including knits, wovens, synthetics, and injections
- Collaborative mindset
- Expert in trends and trend research
- Experience in working technical footwear design with Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials a plus
- Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs)
- Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Experience with 3D visualization tools such as Adobe Substance and Vizcom
- Passion for sports, particularly soccer
- Expertise in make/manufacturing, beyond just digital skillsets
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Focus on creating seasonal packs
- Partner with color and graphic designers to build seasonal narratives and toolboxes for athletes
- Your day-to-day role will involve working across a diverse range of Global Football products within Seasonal Expression ranging from seasonal on pitch moments, competition packs, athlete stories, and energy projects.
- Collaborate with a direct team of approximately 10-12 members and engage in cross-functional work with product design, color, graphics, footwear developers, material development team, PLMs, and more
