Job Description

Introduction Join our dynamic team as a Pattern Engineer 3, where you'll play a vital role in the design and development of women’s athletic wear. This position involves creating and adjusting technical clothing patterns to ensure optimal fit and performance. Your expertise will support our Women’s Golf and tennis lines, contributing to our brand's reputation for excellence. Additional Clarification: We need someone who can build a technical clothing pattern based off of a designer's sketch. They are closer to a seamstress than a creative designer. They are creating a pattern as in the technical drawings and measurements of how a garment is constructed and fitted. For example, if you wanted to sew a shirt from scratch, you would likely use a technical drawing and pattern of a shirt that someone else has created. This role is the person who designs that technical pattern and assesses the fit of the garment. This role is NOT a graphic designer, color designer, product designer, or marketing related person. They are constructing garments and writing technical documents that are used to create the clothing item. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Designer in pattern making or adjusting patterns, particularly for women’s athletic wear. Ability to create patterns from scratch or modify existing ones. Knowledge of garment construction, with a preference for experience with knits. Potentially athlete-facing role, requiring functional work that represents the brand effectively. Experience in performance wear. Experience with outerwear, dresses, and skirts. Familiarity with PDM, PCX, PLM, and web-based tools for record keeping and commenting on changes. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop technical clothing patterns based on designer sketches. Assess and adjust the fit of garments to meet design specifications. Create technical documents that guide the production of clothing items. Company Benefits & Culture Inclusive and diverse work environment. Opportunities for professional growth and development. Supportive team culture that values collaboration and innovation.
