Product Design Engineer Hampton, GA | On-Site Full Time | $75 - 104K, depending on experience Summary:
- The Product Design Engineer is a mid-level Engineering position and will learn and apply drafting and production processes while working under the supervision of a Sr. Engineer. *
- The work will include standard computations, analysis, and 3D CAD design work.*
- The position will take projects from conception through production helping throughout the cycle.
- Work on projects assigned or directed by more experienced Engineers. *
- Design, draft and model using AutoCAD and Solidworks for existing and new products. *
- Create 3D models, 2D drawings, Specifications and Bill of Materials. *
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and field installation. *
- Develop engineering skills based on engineering procedure 230.50 Engineering Training. *
- Create samples of working models for demonstration. *
- Improve usability of new and existing products. *
- Revises processes, documents and drawings through Value Improvement (VIP) Systems. *
- Begin to perform tests in the engineering lab under supervision, learn ANSI Standards and how they relate to testing.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering *
- 4 plus years of design experience *
- 3D Design Software expertise, preferably Solidworks *
- Open to working on shop floor with production team to help with adjustments*
- Ability to travel to testing facilities up to two weeks out of the year
