Job Description

Greenlight is the leading family fintech company on a mission to help parents raise financially smart kids. We proudly serve more than 6 million parents and kids with our award-winning banking app for families. With Greenlight, parents can automate allowance, manage chores, set flexible spend controls, and invest for their family's future. Kids and teens learn to earn, save, spend wisely, and invest.

At Greenlight, we believe every child should have the opportunity to become financially healthy and happy. It's no small task, and that's why we leap out of bed every morning to come to work. Because creating a better, brighter future for the next generation depends on it.

Greenlight's internship is a paid program for current college students. Throughout the internship, you'll collaborate on thoughtful projects and bring your fresh perspectives to impact our product and families. We encourage you to make your mark here as you grow as a professional, broaden your network, learn new skills and live the Greenlight mission - to empower families to build financial strength, protect what matters most, and stay deeply connected-so they can thrive together in every stage of life.

We are looking for a Product Design Intern with a passion for creating great products for great people (in our case, kids, and their parents). Greenlight has passionate users and equally passionate employees who are inspired by our mission to help parents raise financially-smart kids. Greenlight employees are motivated by the positive impact we are already having on families and excited by what's still to come. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and we want your help creating the most delightful and effective user experiences.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver design solutions through concept mockups, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate, debate, test, and iterate
  • Collaborate with design, brand, product and engineering teams on our core user experiences
  • Balance performance metrics, business objectives, and user experience to continuously improve and refine our product
  • Partner closely with engineers through development and production testing, including writing clear, detailed design specs
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and best practices, bringing fresh perspectives to the team

What you should bring:

  • A 3.0 GPA or higher
  • A passion for our mission to shine a light on the world of money for kids, teens, and families
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a portfolio with project examples to show it
  • Genuine excitement for the Greenlight product and curiosity about the fintech industry

Learning Opportunities:

  • Direct mentorship from experienced product designers
  • Opportunities to ship real features used by our customers
  • Hands-on experience in the fintech and family management spaces

Who we are:

It takes a special team to aim for a never-been-done-before mission like ours. We're looking for people who love working together because they know it makes us stronger, people who look to others and ask, "How can I help?" and then "How can we make this even better?" If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and help create a world where every child grows up to be happy and healthy in money and life, apply to join our team.
