Job Description

The role is responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical and electrical products from concept through completion for bespoke customer applications, including processing Engineering Change Orders to revise designs and deliver custom solutions. This position manages all aspects of custom-engineered solution development-designing, modeling, drafting, prototyping, and testing-while supporting new product launches and coordinating product line transitions from the Product R&D team to the product platform. Responsibilities also include completing mechanical analyses and simulations to ensure compliance prior to testing or manufacturing; performing stress, durability, and fatigue life analyses; selecting materials and recommending appropriate manufacturing processes; and actively participating in the building, assembly, and testing of designs. The role performs design validation and verification to ensure products meet specifications, identifies and mitigates project and product risks throughout the development lifecycle, and supports corrective action investigations and permanent corrective action implementation. Additional duties include conducting on-site inspections, supporting commissioning activities, interpreting and complying with regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, and NFPA, performing other tasks as assigned by management or the customer, and consistently supporting Quality and EHS policies while upholding the organization"s core values.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and has a strong understanding of the product development process, including experience with risk mitigation activities.
