Job Description
The Product Inventory Coordinator is a member of the team thatMakes Riders Faster. Product Development’s mission is to deliver innovation with meaningful rider benefits, right bikes, right time.
As the Product Inventory Coordinator, you will support the Product Development team by managing the procurement, receiving, tracking, and organization of all materials, components, and bicycles used for development and testing. This role operates outside of the company’s ERP system, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of development inventory, including quantity, location, and value.
In addition, this role provides hands-on technical support for bicycle builds, modifications, and test preparation as needed. If you like working on high performance products (fast bikes), have a hands-on attitude and enjoy organizing and creating a process…come help us Make Riders Faster!
This role will require you to be onsite at Cervelo’s HQ in Aliso Viejo, CA five days per week.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY JOB LOOK LIKE:
1. Development Purchasing & Vendor Coordination
Source, purchase, track order status, lead times, and delivery schedules of components, bikes, materials, and equipment required for product development and testing
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of development items
Support cost tracking and budget awareness for development-related purchases
2. Receiving & Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and log all incoming development inventory (components, frames, complete bikes, test equipment)
Maintain a separate, accurate inventory system, including: Item descriptions and specifications, quantities and locations, unit cost and total inventory value
Organize and manage physical storage for development materials and bikes
Track movement of items (check-in/check-out) across engineers, projects, and test activities
Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and accountability
Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively
Handle all of the shipping and receiving for Cervelo HQ
3. Inventory Value Tracking & Reporting
Maintain a clear record of the total value of inventory
Provide regular reporting to Product Development leadership on: Inventory value, aging or unused materials, high-value or limited-quantity items
Support decision-making around re-use, disposal, or additional purchasing
4. Bicycle Technical Support
Assist with bicycle assembly, teardown, and modification for development and testing
Prepare bikes and components for lab and field testing
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support engineers during test activities
Maintain workshop organization, tools, and readiness
Ensure all builds meet safety and functional standards
5. Cross-Functional Support
Act as the primary point of contact for all development-related materials and inventory
Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Test teams to anticipate needs
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
2+ years of extensive bicycle technical knowledge. Bicycle retail, or similar, experience.
Background in warehouse logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory management, purchasing.
Comfortable navigating and organizing warehouse inventory
Well versed in process management and proven success making improvements to procedures.
Responsive-Proven ability to handle last minute requests and multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
Keen eye for detail and ability to stay organized with multiple tasks
Experience with administrative software, such as the Google Suite; Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail
Ability to handle data input, identify discrepancies, and maintain large spreadsheets/databases
High level of integrity and ability to communicate issues when they arise
Punctual with a great attendance record
Excellent writing and editing skills
Ability to travel between 0-15%, domestic and international
Must hold an active passport at all times during employment
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Effectivelycommunicate, verbally and in writing, in English.

HOURLY RANGE: This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, industry experience, and the interview with a potential range between $28-$31/hr.
