Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Manager to drive Coherent's Property & Casualty solution offerings, focused on underwriting, rating, distribution and operational workflows.

You will own the product strategy for how Spark and the broader platform serve:

  • Commercial P&C
  • Specialty lines
  • E&S carriers
  • Program administrators
  • MGAs

This is a domain-led role. You will be responsible for ensuring Coherent's platform deeply understands and supports US P&C workflows.

Now you may be wondering what your day-to-day will look like. You will...

  • Define product strategy for P&C use cases:
  • Rating & underwriting
  • Complex commercial pricing models
  • Multi-risk location modelling
  • Broker & MGA distribution flows
  • Ensure Spark capabilities align with modern rating practices
  • Drive integrations with policy admin systems, underwriting workbenches, and data providers
  • Shape Control workflows for underwriting governance and rater management
  • Partner with GTM teams to position Coherent as the bridge between legacy rating spreadsheets and modern insurance platforms
  • Conduct customer discovery with underwriters, actuaries, product owners and operations teams
  • Translate domain workflows into scalable platform features
  • Define measurable success outcomes (rater accuracy, deployment speed, model validation) for the product

What experience and attributes we think you need to get the job done...

  • 8+ years product experience in InsurTech or insurance technology

  • Deep experience in US P&C (carrier, MGA, or vendor side)

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Rating engines & spreadsheet raters

  • Underwriting workflows

  • Commercial lines complexity

  • Integration with PAS systems

  • Strong communication skills with underwriting and actuarial stakeholders

  • Data-driven mindset with strong prioritisation ability

  • Experience working with engineering teams building enterprise SaaS

  • Ability to operate in fast-moving, cross-functional teams
