The Product Manager, Enterprise Product (Multi‑Family Operations & Solutions) plays a key role in shaping the technology ecosystem that supports Essex's operational excellence across our multi‑family portfolio. This role is ideal for candidates with strong on‑site multi‑family experience who understand the realities of property operations and are ready to expand into product management, technology enablement, and cross‑functional leadership. Working closely with the Enterprise Product Director and the broader Enterprise Applications team, the Product Manager helps evaluate, implement, and optimize property management and corporate systems. This role focuses on improving workflows, supporting system adoption, partnering with vendors, and ensuring that technology solutions meet the needs of both on‑site and corporate teams. This position is part of the Enterprise Applications team within the Essex Technology organization-a collaborative group committed to driving a tech‑forward future for Essex.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Work closely with on‑site and centralized teams, corporate departments, and subject matter experts to understand operational needs and pain points.
Translate business challenges into clear system or process requirements.
Participate in evaluating solution options and recommending approaches that support efficient operations and strong resident experiences.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance system usage across Essex's portfolio.
Build a strong working knowledge of applications used throughout leasing, resident services, and property operations.
Support the planning, testing, and rollout of new applications, features, and functionality.
Assist in managing, and own one or more relationships with technology vendors, ensuring alignment on expectations, performance, and solution delivery.
Participate in vendor evaluations, roadmap discussions, and ongoing performance reviews.
Create clear, accessible support materials and documentation for Service Desk teams and end‑users.
Work closely with Operations team and deliver training programs-virtually and on‑site-to support new product rollouts and process changes.
Collaborate with Product Support and Service Desk teams to ensure smooth escalation handling and consistent support experiences.
Troubleshoot application‑related issues and provide guidance to users via phone, email, or web support.
Help establish and refine technology best practices in partnership with stakeholders across the business.
Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives and support evolving needs of the Enterprise Applications team.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of product management, solutions management, or technology enablement experience.
Multi‑family housing industry experience required, with strong understanding of on‑site operations, corporate workflows, and resident lifecycle processes.
Hands‑on experience with Yardi, OnSite, and other multi‑family platforms supporting leasing, resident services, and property operations.
Ability to interpret business data and use insights to guide decisions; advanced analytical skills are a plus.

Experience delivering engaging training programs in both virtual and in‑person settings.
Excellent customer service orientation and relationship‑building skills.
Ability to work Monday-Friday in accordance with Essex's hybrid policy at one of our corporate offices (Irvine, Bellevue, Woodland Hills, or San Mateo).

New hires generally start between $94,000.00 - $117,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.
This role is also eligible to participate in Essex's discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
