Role Overview

This position sits within the AI & Edge Solutions team at HP and focuses on developing software solutions that enable AI development on HP workstations.

As a Product Manager, you will maintain a strong understanding of customer and developer needs to support the development of the vision, roadmap, and definition of software products within HP’s larger Edge & AI solutions portfolio.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical proficiency with AI tools and workflows on Windows and Ubuntu (macOS a plus), balances tactical execution with product thinking, and communicates effectively through prototypes, demos, and written materials.

This position is located in Fort Collins, Colorado; or Houston, TX.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, customer pain points, and differentiation areas in AI Development.

  • Define and articulate a clear product vision aligned with the company's overall strategic goals, staying up to date with industry trends and customer needs to continuously enhance the product roadmap.

  • Utilize strong business acumen to work cross-functionally and connect product initiatives to business objectives and develop well-defined business models for new products.

  • Lead or support the ideation, definition, and development of software products and services that solve complex problems and meet customer needs.

  • Communicate feature prioritization, timelines, and acceptance criteria to engineering teams to ensure timely and successful product development.

  • Champion user-centric design principles to deliver an intuitive and delightful user experience, working closely with product designers to create wireframes, prototypes, and UI/UX improvements.

  • • Support product marketing and sales teams with go‑to‑market activities, product positioning, and sales enablement materials.

  • • Develop prototypes, demos, and supporting materials that showcase how proposed solutions address customer problems.

  • Define and track key product performance metrics. Analyze data to gain insights into user behavior and product usage, using this information to guide future product improvements.

  • Act as the voice of the customer within the company, communicating customer feedback, needs, and pains throughout the organization.

Experience knowledge & skills

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in software product management, with focus on Data Science or AI Technologies. AI compute or edge AI compute a plus.

  • Experience using Python and AI frameworks to prototype, build and deploy AI applications, experience with commercial or enterprise use cases is a plus.

  • Experience with Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with diverse teams and articulate ideas at the executive level.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management processes.

  • Prior experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or deep learning

  • Prior experience in the enterprise software market (preferable, but not required)

  • Prior experience in enterprise AI edge deployment (preferable, but not required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.

  • MBA preferred.

The pay range for this role is$105,050to$161,800USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Benefits:HP offers a comprehensive benefits package for this position, including:
