Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

A strategic product marketing and product management leader responsible for maturing and expanding QSA's radium services product line-a high-priority growth initiative. This role uses customer discovery, ITW's Customer-Back Innovation (CBI) process, specification management, and cross-functional alignment to translate evolving market needs into product roadmaps, capability priorities, and growth opportunities. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic marketing and product development instincts, with either an existing technical background or the ability to quickly build technical credibility with customers and internal experts. This role reports to the Director of Innovation and is supported by QSA's executive growth team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the product management lead for QSA's radium services product line, including radium purification, irradiated material recycling, and target manufacturing for actinium-225 and lead-212 production.
  • Lead customer discovery and voice-of-customer work to understand customer applications, pain points, decision drivers, product requirements, and long-term capability needs.
  • Apply ITW's Customer-Back Innovation (CBI) process to identify, prioritize, and advance customer-driven growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define and evolve product specifications and specification roadmaps, including purity, quality and analytical requirements, chemical form, packaging, and handling requirements.
  • Translate customer and market insights into actionable priorities for chemistry, engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, commercial, and business teams.
  • Develop and maintain product line roadmaps focused on capability expansion, service offering maturity, product standardization, process improvement, and customer-driven enhancements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment to ensure product objectives, development priorities, customer requirements, and operational capabilities remain connected.
  • Support resolution of customer-related technical issues, product deviations, and non-conformances in collaboration with technical and quality teams.
  • Support strategic planning activities including market segmentation, opportunity sizing, capacity planning, and long-term product line evolution.

Education & Experience Requirements

(or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, scientific, engineering, or business discipline required; chemistry, radiochemistry, nuclear engineering, chemical engineering, or related technical background is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic marketing, product management, customer discovery, customer-driven innovation, application engineering, technical sales, radiochemistry, isotope production, nuclear materials processing, radiopharmaceuticals, or related technical industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers to understand needs and translate insights into product roadmaps, development priorities, specifications, or business opportunities.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in regulated, highly technical, or complex industrial environments.
  • Strong technical learning agility, with either an existing technical background or the ability to quickly build sufficient technical understanding and credibility with customers and internal experts.
  • Strong understanding of strategic marketing, product lifecycle management, customer-driven innovation, opportunity analysis, and technical problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with regulated radiological or nuclear environments (e.g., NRC, DOE, ISO frameworks) is preferred but not required.
