Job Summary
The Strategic Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of business operations by defining key business processes and providing administrative support as well as the technical tools required. The role will be accountable for developing and maintaining operational SOPs as well as providing direct input into the shaping of the company's proprietary workforce management solution. The position will also play a heavy role in the oversight of the scheduling department. The manager will play a key role in internal stakeholder engagements by conducting research, performing data analysis, supporting project planning, and preparing stakeholder deliverables. This role is designed for professionals early in their careers who possess a consultative mindset, are eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the construction and development of the workforce management tool to meet the requirements of both local and national service delivery
- Developing and maintaining effective, sound, and healthy communication with a wide range of people at various levels within the company and its customers and suppliers
- Assisting with performance management data, scorecards, dashboards, and trackers
- Identifying the issues or risks that are associated with any aspect of workforce planning cycle and its supporting data, and suggesting appropriate recommendations or improvement strategies to support or tackle these issues
- Contributing to the development and management of training packages to ensure the effective use of information to boost performance
- Assisting the organization with staff training, implementation of new software functionality, ideas, and testing
- Analyze large data sets to identify insights and support strategic recommendations as well as synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights
- Support the planning and tracking of project timelines, deliverables, and milestones
- Help identify and resolve project issues and risks
- Continuously seek feedback and development opportunities to improve performance
