Job Description

Description

Jacobian is redefining diagnostic imaging. Formed by the merger of Smart Reporting - a pioneer in standardized, AI-driven clinical reporting - and Fluency for Imaging, the best-in-class radiology speech recognition platform, Jacobian delivers faster, more consistent reporting at scale in a single deeply integrated solution. We serve radiologists across the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia, processing more than 80 million exams per year and growing.

Jacobian is seeking a Product Owner to lead day-to-day delivery for Fluency for Imaging. This role will translate product strategy and clinical workflow needs into clear priorities, executable release plans, and measurable outcomes. Working across Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Customer Success, Support, and clinical stakeholders, the Product Owner will help advance modernization and clinical AI capabilities while maintaining product stability and customer confidence.

This is a central role in the future of Fluency for Imaging and an important investment in Jacobian's growing Product organization.

What You'll Do

  • Own the rolling four-quarter delivery roadmap, with detailed planning and execution ownership for the next two quarters.
  • Lead a cross-functional Agile team by providing clear priorities, requirements, acceptance criteria, decisions, and release outcomes.
  • Own and refine the product backlog based on customer value, roadmap priorities, technical dependencies, regulatory obligations, and delivery risk.
  • Partner with the Product Manager to shape product direction, release scope, timing, tradeoffs, and priorities.
  • Build realistic release plans that balance strategic development, customer commitments, modernization, technical debt, quality, and stability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering through design, development, validation, release, and post-release support.
  • Coordinate defect triage, customer-impact assessment, release-risk evaluation, and hotfix planning.
  • Engage with radiologists, clinical leaders, healthcare organizations, and internal teams to translate workflow needs into actionable requirements.
  • Participate in customer visits, demonstrations, user-acceptance testing, and release validation.
  • Monitor product health, recurring customer issues, adoption barriers, and release quality.
  • Maintain product and release documentation required for readiness, validation, regulatory, and audit activities.
  • Communicate roadmap progress, release status, customer impact, risks, and decisions to technical, clinical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strengthen Product operating practices through greater clarity, discipline, transparency, and repeatability.
Requirements
  • Five or more years of experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or a comparable software-delivery role.
  • Experience leading an Agile software team from backlog definition through release and post-release support.
  • Ability to translate complex customer, clinical, technical, and business needs into clear, prioritized requirements.
  • Strong judgment balancing roadmap execution, defect prioritization, release tradeoffs, technical debt, customer escalations, and risk management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical, clinical, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • A customer-oriented mindset and the confidence to make timely, disciplined product decisions.
  • Comfort working across regions and time zones with globally distributed teams, including experience in a global product organization.
  • Experience in radiology, medical imaging, diagnostic workflow, or regulated healthcare software — ideally including clinical reporting, speech recognition, ambient documentation, AI-assisted workflows, or enterprise desktop applications.
  • Experience partnering directly with clinicians, medical affairs, or clinical informatics teams, and supporting large healthcare organizations through escalated production issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Agile ceremonies, structured requirements, UAT, release documentation, and quality-management processes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
Benefits
  • Join a fast-growing, mission-driven team shaping the future of AI in radiology - building products that improve workflows and patient outcomes worldwide
  • Work from our Pittsburgh, PA office at Bakery Square on a hybrid schedule (2 days per week in-office)
  • Comprehensive health insurance available from day one
  • 401k contributions, employer match up to 5%
  • 20 days PTO + sick days
  • Enhanced parental leave and pay
