About the Role:
Ovative’sAI Analytics Platform is designed to proactively analyze client data acrossEMRgeand surface actionable insights and recommendations grounded in marketingsubject-matterexpertise. As Product Owner for this platform, you will be accountable for turning this vision into reality by driving clear, iterative, and scalable delivery.
You will partner closely with, and report to, a Product Manager who owns product vision and strategy, while you focus on execution, sequencing, and day-to-day delivery decisions. In this role, you will deeply understand user problems, translate them into well-structured work, own the development team backlog, and make tradeoff decisions that enable teams to deliver high-impact outcomes each quarter.
While prior experience with RAG-style or AI-driven analytics systems is preferred, your primary responsibility is to convert technical and domain understanding into a pragmatic execution plan, balancing scope, priorities, and constraints to maximize value.
Working closely with Data Engineers and AI Engineers, you will guide the development of foundational platform capabilities that do not exist today (e.g., ingestion, indexing and vector search, semantic layers, and integrations), ensuring solutions are aligned to real user needs, are technically feasible, and can scale sustainably across clients and use cases.
Responsibilities of a Product Owner:
Product Ownership
Translate program-level features andobjectivesinto well-formed user stories with clear acceptance criteria that reflect business value and technical constraints.
Work closely with engineers and analysts during iterations toclarify business and functional requirementsand maketimelydecisions.
Own delivery-level tradeoff decisions(scope, sequencing, and technical constraints), escalating only when decisions materiallyimpactproduct strategy or cross-platform alignment.
Accept or reject completed storiesbased on acceptance criteria and the team’s Definition of Done, ensuring that deliverables truly meet user needs.
Ensurealignment between team deliverables and program-levelobjectivesand roadmap, raising risks and tradeoffs when needed.
Collaborate daily with theScrum Leadto remove blockers, refine plans, and improve the team’s flow and ways of working.
Backlog Management & Delivery
Own and prioritize the Backlog, sequencing product, client, and engineering work to maximize value within the team’s available capacity and technicalconstraintseach sprint.
Lead sprint planning, refinement, and demos, partnering with engineering to break work into deliverable increments, clarify scope, and remove ambiguity and blockers so teams can reliably deliver what was committed to each iteration.
Defineacceptance criteriaand partner with the team on testing and validation to ensure features meet quality standards and client expectations.
ChampionMVP thinking and iterative delivery, using experimentation and feedback loops tovalidateassumptions quickly and scale what works.
Stakeholder Management & Community Building
Serve as theprimary point of contactfor the AI Analytics Platform with internal stakeholders.
Partner withPower Users, Client teams, and other cross-functional partnersto understand needs, prioritize outcomes, andalign ontradeoffs.
Build and nurture acommunity of power users and contributors, creating a collaborative environment for innovation and experimentation.
Communicate Program Increment (PI) progress and outcomesin clear, non-technical language tailored to executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
Enable teams throughtraining, documentation, and change management, driving adoption and confident use of the AI solutions.
Requirements:
6-8+ years of experience inproduct management, product ownership, business analysis, or a related role, with at least2+ years focused on AI or data/analytics products.
Proven successdelivering AI-powered solutions at scale, ideally in service delivery, customer experience, or digital transformation contexts.
Demonstrated experience partnering closely withengineering, data, and UX teamson technical and design topics (e.g., data pipelines, APIs, security, semantic layers, human-centered design).
Strong advocate ofAgile methodologies(e.g.SAFe)and tools(e.g., Jira, Confluence), including backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
Stronganalytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, including comfort with cost–benefit analysis and ROI-oriented decision-making.
Excellentcommunication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including executive-level communication and the ability to translate technical details into clear business value.
Demonstrated ability toinfluence and align cross-functional teams, and to build community and engagement among power users and partners.
Experience with using product tools including Atlassian (Confluence, Jira), Microsoft Office, Tableau etc.
Preferred
Background inBusiness Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science, or adjacent fields.
Experience withenterprise AI and data platforms(e.g., Databricks, cloud-native AI services) and/or conversational AI toolsets (e.g.,Dialogflow, Azure OpenAI, or similar).
Hands-on experiencebuilding and shipping RAG-style or AI-driven analytics systems, including familiarity with retrieval, vector search, and evaluation patterns.
Exposure to recommendation systems, insight generation, or other applied AI use cases beyond Q&A
Pay Transparency
AtOvative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus. Actualoffers are made with consideration for relevant experience andanticipatedimpact.Additionalbenefits information is provided below.
For ourSr.Manager positions, our compensation ranges from $111,000 to $186,000, which is inclusive of a 25% bonus.
